My mother, daughter, and I painted the octopus stones together on our porch, and it became one of our favorite family craft projects. The curled tentacles, suction-cup patterns, eyes, and rounded head were easy to follow with small brushes. We used turquoise, deep blue, aqua, and cream, and everyone created a slightly different version. The finished stones feel solid and have so much more personality than ordinary garden pavers

I made several jellyfish stones and alternated between painted designs and natural gray concrete along the path beside our beach house. The flowing tentacles, dotted texture, and rounded bell shape all came out clearly. I used blue, teal, and soft purple on the painted pieces, and they look especially beautiful when the lanterns come on in the evening. The mold was easy to reuse, so creating the full pathway was much simpler than I expected

We chose the paw-print mold because our dog is always following us through the garden. The large center pad and four smaller toe pads released cleanly, and I added tiny painted flowers around the borders of a few stones. They look adorable leading toward the porch and feel like a meaningful tribute to our family pet
